Houses and apartments (for sale or rent) that we convey are located in Kalamata itself or, as a maximum, 70 km from Kalamata. Kalamata is a port city with close to 70 000 inhabitants, making it the second largest in the Peloponnese. For us who live around Kalamata, the city is an important center for meetings, mingling, culture and shopping. Pictures below from Kalamata Carnival 2019.

We recommend a visit to Kalamata Castle where you can take amazing pictures of the whole city with Taygetos and the Mediterranean in the background.

In the vicinity of the Kalamata castle, a market of local products is organized twice a week. Here fruits and vegetables are mixed with natural sweets, nuts, fish and meat. Welcome on Wednesdays and Saturdays!

For those who just want to relax and unwind, however, the 2,5 km elongated pebble beach with clear blue water is much more interesting. The beach is lined with bars and tavernas that buzz with life both day and night.

We "local" Messiniabor and holiday visitors also like to take a walk to the Kalamata Marina where powerful boats are reflected in the Mediterranean.
