"The difference between a successful person and others is not lack of strength not a lack of knowledge but rather a lack of will" - Vince Lombardi
Object ID: EKJ1828, Kalamata
The apartment is located on a quiet street in a well maintained five-storey house. Here you live far from the noise but still only a stone's throw from the center, the beach, shops, restaurants and cafes. You park your car securely in a courtyard and walk in the nearby Municipal Railway park or to Kalamata's main street: Aristomenous.
The apartment was renovated with care: comfortable living areas, nice light walls and floors, custom-made furniture with interesting color combinations, beautiful fireplace and smart storage spaces in the apartment and on the balconies.
All rooms (including the kitchen) have air conditioning, access to the terrace or balconies (with awnings). All bedrooms have wardrobes and central heating. Double glazed windows and doors (with mosquito nets in the living room) in top condition. The bedrooms have wooden floors and in the living room, kitchen and both halls there is a bright tiled floor.
From the first hall (with room for wardrobe / clothes hanging) you walk straight into a large, bright living room (35 sqm) with beautiful fireplace and with exit to the terrace (30 sqm). From the living room you also reach one of the bedrooms (with private bathroom) as well as the kitchen. At present, the living room is used as a combined office and rest area: here is room for your own interior ideas!
The wall between the living room and the kitchen is partially open and designed with glass blocks and round wall openings: everything to increase the light penetration and create a good flow between the rooms.
In the kitchen (18 sqm) there is space for dining table, dishwasher (included in the sale), stove top, designed display cabinet (which matches the handmade kitchen cabinets) and fridge / freezer. The owner installed water filters in the kitchen: healthy and environmentally friendly!
Right next to the kitchen is a dressing room / storage room where today there is a washing machine and cleaning room. The washing machine is not included in the purchase and you can decide for yourself where you want to connect the washing machine: one of the bathrooms is prepared and has space for the washing machine. From the corridor between the kitchen and the living room you reach a large bathroom and two bedrooms, both with space for double beds.

About Peloponnese and Kalamata
Peloponnese: the classic Greece (there was certainly no island but a peninsula until the Corinth Canal was completed 1893). This peninsula is full of history and the places are close to each other. It was here that a great deal of ancient history began and in the Iliad more than 20 sites from Peloponnese are mentioned.
The Peloponnese is a place of phenomenal and varied beauty with high snow-covered mountains, orchards and river valleys as well as beautiful beaches. Want to read more about the history of the region? Proceed to our sister page: Guide to the Peloponnese.
Kalamata is a port city with almost 70 000 inhabitants, making it the second largest in the Peloponnese.
The areas around the city are rich in mythological history and there are several places specifically designated in the Homer Iliad. There are also many stories of local heroes and places, such as when Aristomenis fought the Spartans. More information about Kalamata can be found under the link here.
For those who want to buy a holiday home, however, the 2,5 km elongated beach with clear blue water is much more interesting: perfect investment that will attract many tenants! The beach is lined with bars and tavernas that revive life even in the evenings and nights.
