Crazy about Greece? We have a charming and characterful house in a Greek mountain village: a place for those who dream of their own retreat. Will be most appreciated by those who have artistic souls!
“Life is not what happened back there or what might happen up ahead. Life is like the rhythm of the heart - every breath, every blink of the eye. It's beat by beat, moment by moment. This… is all there is. This… is all we need ”. Andy Puddicombe
Object ID: OC913, Ampeliona, Messinia County
Charming two-storey stone house in a traditional mountain village: Ampeliona. The village is surrounded by chestnut forests and has not long since been discovered by alternative tourists. A stone's throw from the house is the retreat hotel Abeliona: excellent food and yoga lessons close to your accommodation: it can hardly be better than that for those whos are looking for peace and balance. In the village you shop super locally: once a week, both bakers and vegetable traders come to the village.
The house has been renovated with care and respect to the ancient times. In the house you will find:
- Ground floor (40 sqm): a kitchen, a dining room, a bathroom and a maintained grape press
- Upstairs (40 sqm): three bedrooms, a large bathroom and a living room with a lovely fireplace
The house has also two storage rooms: one of 25 sqm and one of about 35 km. In the latter, there is today the oil tank. The house is sold including furnitures and appliances: ready to move in from day one. In the garden (with automatic irrigation system) you will find a traditional bread oven and about 20 fruit trees.

About the Peloponnese
Peloponnese: the classic Greece (there was certainly no island but a peninsula until the Corinth Canal was completed 1893). This peninsula is full of history and the places are close to each other. It was here that a great deal of ancient history began and in the Iliad more than 20 sites from Peloponnese are mentioned.
The Peloponnese is a place of phenomenal and varied beauty with high snow-covered mountains, orchards and river valleys as well as beautiful beaches. Want to read more about the history of the region? Proceed to our sister page: Guide to the Peloponnese or read More about areas: Messinia.
